KaranLabs ("we", "us", "our") operates Detox AI ("the App"), a personal wellness application that generates customized detox recipes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. By using Detox AI, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: You can sign in anonymously, with Sign in with Apple, or with Google. Depending on the method you choose, we may receive your name and email address.
  • Wellness Preferences: The goals you select (such as clearer skin, weight management, better sleep, or energy), dietary preferences, and ingredient choices you provide to generate recipes.
  • Saved Content: Recipes you generate, favorite, or keep in your history.
  • Purchase Information: Records of in-app subscriptions and purchases (payment processing is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment card details).

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, app version, language, and unique device identifiers.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the App, features used, and session duration.
  • Analytics: Aggregated and pseudonymized event data to help us understand and improve the App.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Generate personalized detox recipes based on your goals and preferences
  • Sync your recipe history and favorites across your devices
  • Manage your account and subscription status
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Send you notifications you have opted into (such as reminders)
  • Improve and optimize the App's performance and features
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse

4. AI Recipe Generation

When you request a recipe, the wellness goals, dietary preferences, and ingredient choices you selected are transmitted over an encrypted connection to our backend, which uses a third-party AI model provider to generate your recipe. Please note:

  • Only the inputs needed to generate the recipe are sent — never your name, email, or device identifiers
  • Your inputs are not used to train AI models
  • Generated recipes are general wellness content, not medical advice or a health diagnosis

5. Health-Related Information

The wellness goals and dietary preferences you provide are used solely to personalize recipe suggestions. Detox AI is not a medical service, does not connect to Apple HealthKit, and does not collect clinical or diagnostic health data. We never sell health-related information or share it with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate the App (cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, subscription management). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication, cloud database for your recipes and preferences, and analytics
  • Adapty: Subscription and in-app purchase management
  • Amplitude: Product analytics
  • Apple: Payment processing through the App Store, and Sign in with Apple
  • Google: Google Sign-In

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is transmitted using encrypted connections (TLS/SSL). However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services:

  • Account data: Retained while your account is active and deleted upon account deletion
  • Recipes and favorites: Retained until you delete them or your account
  • Analytics data: Retained in aggregated or pseudonymized form

You can delete your account directly in the App, or request deletion by contacting us. We will delete or anonymize your information within 30 days of a verified deletion request, except where retention is required by law.
