1. Introduction

KaranLabs ("we", "us", "our") operates GownAI ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. By using GownAI, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials.
  • Photos: Photos you upload for virtual try-on processing. These are used solely to generate your try-on results.
  • Purchase Information: Records of in-app purchases and subscriptions (payment processing is handled by Apple).

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the App, features used, and session duration.
  • Analytics: Aggregated and anonymized data to help us improve the App.

2.3 Face Data

Our virtual try-on feature processes photos that may contain your face. This section explains in detail how face data is collected, used, stored, shared, and retained.

2.3.1 What Face Data We Collect

When you upload a photo for virtual try-on, your photo may include facial features such as your face shape, skin tone, and overall appearance. We do not extract, store, or create any biometric identifiers or facial recognition templates from your photos. The photo is used as a whole image for the sole purpose of generating a virtual try-on result.

2.3.2 How Face Data Is Used

Your photo, including any face data it contains, is used exclusively to generate a virtual try-on result — showing how a selected garment would look on you. Your face data is never used for facial recognition, identification, authentication, or any purpose other than generating virtual try-on results.

2.3.3 Third-Party Processing (Wiro AI)

To generate virtual try-on results, your photo is transmitted to Wiro AI, a third-party AI processing service provided by Wiro Technology. Wiro AI processes your photo solely to generate the virtual try-on output. Your photo is not shared with any other third parties for marketing, advertising, or any unrelated purpose.

Wiro AI acts as a data processor on our behalf and is contractually obligated to:

  • Process your photo only for the purpose of generating virtual try-on results
  • Not retain your photo or face data after processing is complete
  • Not use your photo or face data for training AI models
  • Not share your photo or face data with any other parties

2.3.4 Storage and Retention of Face Data

Your uploaded photo, including any face data, is processed in real time and is not permanently stored on our servers or on Wiro AI's servers. Photos are held in temporary memory only for the duration needed to generate your try-on result. Once the result is generated and delivered to you, the original uploaded photo is discarded. The generated try-on result (output image or video) may be stored if you choose to save it to your favorites, and will be deleted when you remove it from favorites or delete your account.

2.3.5 Disclosure and Sharing of Face Data

Your face data is shared only with Wiro AI for the purpose of generating virtual try-on results, as described in Section 2.3.3. Your face data is not shared with any other third parties for any purpose, including marketing, advertising, analytics, or research.

2.3.6 User Consent

Before your photo is processed for the first time, the App presents a consent screen that clearly explains how your photo and face data will be handled. You must explicitly agree to this processing before any photo data is transmitted. You may withdraw your consent at any time by discontinuing use of the virtual try-on feature.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the virtual try-on service
  • Process your photos to generate try-on results
  • Manage your account and credit balance
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Send you technical notices and support messages
  • Improve and optimize the App's performance and features
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse

4. Photo Processing and Storage

Your photos are transmitted to our secure backend server and processed by Wiro AI (Wiro Technology), our third-party AI service, to generate virtual try-on images. We take the following measures to protect your photos:

  • Photos are transmitted using encrypted connections (TLS/SSL)
  • Uploaded photos, including any face data, are processed in real time and not permanently stored on our servers or Wiro AI's servers after processing
  • No biometric identifiers, facial recognition templates, or facial feature maps are created or stored from your photos
  • We do not use your photos to train AI models
  • Generated try-on images are stored in your account for your access
  • You can request deletion of your photos and generated images at any time

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication, cloud storage, analytics, and push notifications
  • Adapty: Subscription and in-app purchase management
  • Wiro AI (Wiro Technology): Virtual try-on image and video generation. Your uploaded photos, which may contain face data, are transmitted to Wiro AI solely for generating virtual try-on results. Wiro AI does not retain your photos after processing and does not use them for AI model training. See Section 2.3 for full details.
  • Apple: Payment processing through the App Store

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. Specific retention details:

  • Account data: Retained while your account is active and deleted upon account deletion request
  • Uploaded photos and face data: Processed in real time and not permanently stored on our servers or Wiro AI's servers after the try-on result is generated
  • Face data: Not retained in any form after processing — no biometric templates, facial feature maps, or derived data are created or stored
  • Try-on results: Retained until you delete them or your account

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. We will delete or anonymize your information within 30 days of a verified deletion request, except where retention is required by law.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Portability: Request transfer of your data in a structured format
  • Objection: Object to certain processing of your personal data
  • Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

10. Children's Privacy

GownAI is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
